ABOUT APRICOT GIFT BOUTIQUE This exclusive range of earrings originates from Apricot Gift Boutique, a store established circa 1984 in the heart of the beachside suburb of Mairangi Bay, New Zealand. The store was owned and operated by Colombian artist Helizabeth Borrero de King, offering a snapshot of her love of fashion, style, and all that glitters. A gift and jewellery store with a little taste of everything, it catered to a diverse group of locals, fashionistas, and supported artisans. The store was known for embracing community and culture, as well as bringing a unique overseas perspective to the area. Brought to you in this collection are some of the surviving pieces from the store's closure in the early 1990s. Each piece is unique and brings joy to the wearer.

One strand curls into an open teardrop loop while the rest drop as uneven tassels, so the two earrings never hang quite the same way twice. A small square with a lot of fabulous going on. Frames of baroque scrollwork step inward on a tobacco brown ground, and at the centre four cream cartouches each hold a curled paisley motif picked out in saffron, olive and black. The print sits on a fine twill style weave and finishes at a soft cream edge, so the detail reads clearly whether the scarf is folded, knotted or spread flat. Easy care fibres mean it packs down small and is simple to look after.

Fold it into a narrow band and tie it at the nape over a teal polo neck, or knot it through the handle of a cognac bag for an instant finish. DESIGNER INFORMATION: Tootal traces its roots to Manchester in 1799, with Edward Tootal joining the business in 1842. They became known for ties, scarves and other textile accessories. The name has long been associated with British menswear staples, particularly patterned scarves and ties with proper old-school polish.

You see the collar first. Wide, white, squared across the back and falling rounded at the front, each one finished with a cloth patch of an embroidered navy anchor and a red lifebuoy.
