Fern fronds have been quietly turning up on fabric for the better part of a century, and it's easy to see why once you're holding one this good. Dozens of different fronds scatter across a soft silver grey ground, each one rendered in a slightly different hand, some feathery and fine, others bold and architectural, like a botanist's sketchbook pressed straight onto silk. There's something quietly familiar about it too, the fern being about as close to a native motif as vintage fashion gets on this side of the world.

Drape it loosely over the shoulders where the scale of the print can really unfurl, or fold it into a triangle and tie at the neck so a single large frond sits front and centre. The grey-green palette is endlessly easy to work with, sit it against charcoal or ivory for something quiet, or bring out the olive undertones with a rust or terracotta piece for a warmer combination.
