This delicious little beaded handbag is vintage handiwork at its prettiest. The softly rounded shape is covered in silvery bugle and seed beads, with pale pink flowers and minty green leaves worked across the front in a loose garden pattern. The reverse is quieter but no less lovely, with the silver beading sweeping into a radiating design around a single central flower.

The detailing continues right up to the frame, finished with a kiss clasp and a beautifully beaded handle. The handle shows discolouration to the beads from age and use, which you can see in the photographs, but it remains part of the original charm of the piece. Inside is a pale satin lining with a small internal pocket, giving you just enough room for the evening essentials.

Wear it with a black column dress and silver jewellery, or let those pale pink and green beads pick up something softer such as a blush knit, sage jacket or creamy silk blouse. Branch out and take it somewhere completely unexpected such as a denim-n-crisp shirt pairing with a metallic shoe.
