This dress is a delightful study in colour, awash with cobalt, teal and moss green florals that tumble across a lightweight easy care fabric with a fine, textured weave. The standing funnel collar lies gently at the neckline driving the eye downward with the pointed detail through to the line of vertical buttons. The back zip keeps the silhouette clean through the shoulders and the long sleeves finish in the same shape pointed cuffs. The dress falls in an easy, straight line from shoulder to hem. That saturated blue and green palette, paired with the collar detail, is a classic marker of the psychedelic prints that defined London fashion in the mid to late 1960s.

About the Designer: Rhona Roy was a London ready-to-wear label, among the founding firms of the Associated Fashion Designers of London in 1964. Alongside its mainline collection, it ran a younger diffusion line called Young Ideas, was modelled by Pattie Boyd, and pieces are held in UK museum collections today.
