There is a graphic quality to this wool blend tunic, cut in a fine navy, cream and rust check that reads as a soft blue from a distance. Structured cap sleeves extend into a winged shoulder line, a shaping often seen on tunic and vest silhouettes through the 1970s, while a keyhole style slit opens at the front neckline. The boxy body is fastened at each side seam with a small brass buckle and tab, allowing the fit through the waist to be adjusted. The wool has a soft, brushed hand with flecks of colour woven through the check, giving texture without adding weight.

This is an easy, layering piece that sits away from the body through the shoulders and bust, with the side buckles offering room to bring the waist in or let it sit loose depending on what's worn beneath. The boxy length skims over the hip without clinging, making it a simple layer over a blouse or fitted knit. A versatile piece for building texture into an outfit.
