Look closely at this one and the fabric gives up its secret: fine metallic threads run through the charcoal weave in soft flashes of green, gold and pink, catching the light differently with every small movement. The bodice sits close through the waist with a V neckline front and back, cap sleeves, and a fitted midriff that releases into a full, soft skirt. A concealed zip runs up the centre back to a hook and eye at the nape.

The fit is fitted through the bodice and nipped at the waist, with the skirt providing all the movement and drama below. It's a dress built for occasions where the light offers a talking point, whether that's candlelight or an evening under string lights.

Wear it with simple heels and a swipe of red lipstick for a classic take, or bring in deep emerald or silver accessories to pick out the metallic flecks running through the weave.
