This dark grey leather skirt from Hide, made by Macalisters Apparel in Christchurch, has the clean, elegant lines that makes a good leather skirt so useful. The leather is supple with a soft sheen rather than a glossy finish, and the narrow waistband keeps the line neat before the skirt falls straight through the hip to around knee length.

The tailoring is simple and beautifully balanced, with shaping through the waist and hips, a centre-back zip and a rear walking split giving enough movement without changing the straight silhouette. It is fully lined, and the original care and maker labels are still present, including the Christchurch manufacturing label.

Grey leather gives you plenty of room to play with texture and colour. Try it with an ivory blouse, a chunky knit with red pumps, or a T Shirt and ne of our unique vintage patterned scarves. This shape works particularly well if you like a defined waist with a soft yet straight line from hip to thigh.
