Two strands of faceted aurora borealis crystal make their way around the collarbone here, each bead catching light and throwing it back in unexpected flashes of pink, gold and green. The graduated sizing gives the strands real movement, from smaller stones near the clasp to the bold, chunky facets that sit centre front. Warm gold tone spacer beads run between each crystal, and the leaf shaped clasp fittings add a soft decorative finish to the whole piece. Nothing here has a label to trace, but the construction and crystal cut place it comfortably in the mid century decades, and it has held its sparkle beautifully.

This is the kind of necklace that turns a plain top into an occasion. Sit it high on a boat neck or a simple round collar and let the two strands do the talking, or layer it over a fine knit for daytime glamour that still feels easy.
