That cobalt stops you. A rich, slightly heathered blue that only comes from quality wool blended with silk, the kind of fabric that holds its shape across decades without losing its softness. The body of this skirt is structured and smooth, weighted beautifully at the hip with a quiet authority. The real story is in the detail: three diagonal silk ribbon trims sweep across the front hip yoke in what looks to be hand-dyed terracotta, amber, teal and rose, each one a small colourful joy and stroke against that deep blue ground. Below the yoke, a cascade of tiered silk ruffle in the same tie-dye palette erupts from the side seam, bold and entirely unexpected against an otherwise tailored silhouette.

The pencil cut is fitted through the waist, hip and thigh, creating a clean line that elongates beautifully. The partially elasticated waist sits at the natural waist without pulling or pinching, making this genuinely comfortable to wear all day. Those diagonal trims draw the eye across the hip rather than straight across it, which distributes visual weight with real cleverness.
