A big, richly textured flower worked in coils of silver-tone chain wire, each scalloped petal curling around a faceted bead set on a black base. Metallic bronze facets sit in the larger loops, mottled silver-grey beads fill the smaller ones, and a cluster of nugget-shaped silver-tone beads gathers at the centre. Every turn shows a different gleam of silver, pewter and soft gold, and the generous size makes it a wonderful focal point on a lapel.

Pin it to a ruby velvet blazer, or a lavender wool coat.
