This Berkhan blouse has a lovely soft rose-pink colour with a woven abstract jacquard pattern that shifts gently as the light moves across it. The generous cowl neckline is the standout detail, falling in soft folds across the front and giving the blouse plenty of texture without needing any extra trim.

The sleeveless shape is cut with room through the body rather than close to the waist, while the back yoke releases into light gathering for an easy drape. Worn loose, it has a relaxed line over trousers or a skirt, or you can tuck and blouse it slightly at the waist to change the proportion.

Try it with deep chocolate trousers and metallic loafers, or pair it with an emerald skirt. For something brighter, add cobalt or raspberry accessories, while denim keeps the jacquard and neckline firmly in focus.

This shape works well if you like a little room through the bust, waist and hips without losing shape at the shoulders. The cowl neckline creates softness around the upper body, while the straight cut gives an easy skim through the middle.

About the Designer: Kevin Berkahn is one of New Zealand's most celebrated couturiers, known across a 52 year career for opulent eveningwear and bridal design under the Brides By Berkahn label. He dressed hopefuls for Miss New Zealand, showed his collections in London, Sydney and the United States, and was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to fashion in 2010.
