Some blouses are merely pretty. This one has something extra. The fabric is a sheer baby blue that is light against the skin and luminous in daylight. But it is the buttons that stop you. Faceted, crystal-clear and catching the light like tiny cut glass, they run down the centre front placket and turn what could have been a simple blouse into something genuinely special and these are the kind of details that make vintage unique. Someone chose those buttons carefully, and it shows. The blouse is cut with a fitted, seamed body that follows the figure without being snug, finishing at the hip with a neat straight hem. The collar is a clean pointed style that sits beautifully open or under a jacket. Short sleeves with a turned cuff finish.

The sheerness of the fabric means it works beautifully as a layering piece over a camisole or slip in a contrasting colour, or worn as is in the spirit of the era it came from. Tuck it into a high-waisted midi skirt in striking white or a perfect denim and let the blue float above.
