A two-piece scroll-stopper from UK label, Evans. The fabric is soft and slightly textured, almost lace-like under the light, printed all over with a scattered floral in dusty lavender, peach and soft plum. A ruffled stand collar finishes the neckline on the dress, fastening with a single button at the throat, and the pleating through skirt gives real movement when you walk. The jacket discreet pleating set is set off by the simple soft fabric at the bust to waist. This set will be what you wear to a Sunday lunch and quietly outdress everyone.

Wear the dress alone with the belt cinched and a pair of dove grey boots for something soft and pulled together, or add the jacket over the top for an occasion moment. Try it with amethyst tights and a sage green clutch for a colour story that leans into the print rather than away from it, or ground the whole thing with terracotta accessories if you want warmth against all that lavender. Either way, the collar and the pleats do plenty of the work on their own.
