There is a particular kind of jewellery that has presence without being overpowering. It simply arrives, catches the light, and holds the room. This brooch is that piece.

Circular and domed in construction, it is built from concentric rings of deep cobalt blue faux stones set into ornate antiqued gold-tone filigree. The stones are a rich, saturated sapphire blue, the sort of colour that reads as both bold and classic depending entirely on what you pin it to. At the centre sits an open filigree medallion, finely detailed and raised, giving the whole piece a sculptural quality that lifts it well beyond decorative. The scalloped outer edge softens the structure with a floral sensibility, and the reverse reveals a beautifully crafted stamped gold-tone back with a fine pin-bar closure, the kind of construction that speaks directly to the pre-fast-fashion era in which it was made.
