This patterned cotton vintage dress is a holiday postcard in clothing form, all turquoise skies, palm trees and little beach scenes, but cut in a fun fresh way. It has that easy shirt-dress structure with a crisp collar and button-through front.

The silhouette gives gentle waist definition, then skims through the hips into a neat knee-length line. The cotton is soft and breathable, making it a great one for days when you want to look sorted and comfortable. Pop it on for brunch or a weekend wander.

Try red sandals and a sunflower-yellow bag, or go further with a bold striped cardi in tangerine. For cooler weather, layer a sweater in cherry red or simple white. Lean into turquoise, coral, or a glossy resin bangle stack.

This shape is great if you like definition through the waist with an easy skim over the tummy and hips. It also works well if you are a bit fuller through the bust and shoulders and want a dress that shapes the middle without clinging. If you are a bit fuller through the hips and thighs than the top half, the structured bodice helps balance proportions while the skirt line stays comfortable.
