This dress is cut from a rich, deep purple silk with the slight slub and sheen typical of raw silk, catching light differently through the folds. A mandarin collar frames a deep keyhole neckline, both trimmed in a dense lilac and gold thread embroidery that spreads out across the front yoke and continues down the centre back in a mirrored floral motif. The three-quarter sleeves finish with a narrower band of the same embroidery at the cuff. Side slits open at the hem, and the body falls in a fairly straight line with a slight ease through the hip, a silhouette that echoes the boho imports popular through the 1970s.

If you love an easy, straight silhouette with room to move, this dress will suit you especially well. Wear it with flat sandals and layered metallic baubles for an effortless evening or summer barbeque.
