This skirt is pleated in a green, blue and black tartan wool, with knife pleats that hold their shape crisply throughout. Two leather straps with silver buckles fasten at the waist, and the front overlay finishes in a raw, fringed edge rather than a hemmed seam. The skirt falls just below the knee in a straight, A-line line through the body. That leather strap and buckle fastening, paired with the crisp pleating, is a familiar marker of tartan kilt skirts through the 1960s.

If you love a fitted, straight through the waist silhouette, this skirt is perfect. Wear it with a simple black turtleneck and knee boots for an easy classic look, or pair with a cream blouse for something softer.
