This dress is printed in a stained glass style mosaic of purple, green, yellow and white, with each panel framed in fine linework like leaded glass. A pointed collar sits open at the front placket and a patch pocket sits at the chest on one side. Mid-length sleeves finish in a turned cuff, and a self-fabric tie belt bejewelled with green faux crystals at the end of each cinches the dress gently at the waist. The dress falls in a straight line to just below the knee. That bold mosaic print, framed in linework, is a familiar marker of the psychedelic prints of the late 1960s and 1970s.

The store was owned and operated by Colombian artist, Helizabeth Borrero de King offering a snapshot of her love of fashion, style, and all that glitters. A gift and jewelry store with a little taste of everything that catered to a diverse group of locals, fashionistas, and supported artisans. The store was known for embracing community and culture as well as bringing a unique overseas perspective to the area.

Brought to you in this collection, are some of the surviving pieces from the store's closure in the early 1990's. As with all of our curation, each piece is unique and brings joy to the wearer. This floral print has that wonderfully busy little garden look that works so well on a shirt dress, with violet, dusty pink and turquoise flowers scattered across a pale background. The colours are closely packed without losing their individual detail, and the crisp collar gives the print a little structure around the face.

The button-through front is framed by a neat notched collar and a small chest pocket, while the wide short sleeves give plenty of room through the upper arm. A matching fabric belt draws the shape in at the waist, finished with a white buckle that picks up the pale background of the print. Below, the skirt falls in a straightforward knee-length line.

Try it with violet sandals and a turquoise bag, or pull out the pink with raspberry flats and simple jewellery. For something more relaxed, leave the belt a touch looser and add white sneakers with a denim jacket. A cardigan in emerald or coral would bring another strong colour into the mix without competing with the smaller floral pattern.

This floaty white dress is scattered with bursts of turquoise, hot pink and lilac, with plenty of clear space between each floral motif so the colour feels fresh rather than crowded. The slightly sheer finish gives the fabric a lovely lightness, while the deep V neckline is framed by generous cascading ruffles that bring most of the detail to the upper half.

The bodice sits softly through the bust before drawing in at the elasticated waist, then falls into a gathered midi-length skirt with plenty of room through the hips. The short sleeves have gentle fullness and finish with elasticated ruffle cuffs, echoing the movement around the neckline.
