Whoever designed this print understood that florals work best when they are both decorative and expressive. Rendered in slate blue, deep burgundy, dusty rose, taupe and ivory on a background that shifts between all of them, the large-scale blooms are loosely drawn in the manner of an oil sketch. The fabric offers a fine texture and a gentle drape.

The silhouette is soft and easy. A cowl neckline pools just below the collarbone, the waist gathers in on a fine elasticated band, and a full skirt falls to just below the knee. Blouson three-quarter sleeves finish at a straight cuff. The cowl neckline and full skirt silhouette with elasticated waist are a flattering style for most silhouettes. Try a slim tan or caramel belt, or wear it simply as it is with a low wedge or Mary Jane flat.

This silk jacket has all the graphic satisfaction you could need. The grey and black vertical lines run cleanly through the body, then shift direction across the long sleeves and pockets, giving the whole piece that pleasing 80s to 90s optical play we all secretly still love. The black stitched collar sharpens the neckline, while the two covered front buttons keep the finish neat.

Wear it over a slim black column dress when you want the jacket to be your statement piece, or bring it into everyday rotation with charcoal denim, a pewter camisole and silver jewellery. This jacket will blance out a smaller top half bringing a bold sttructure. Wear belted or open to give options. A stripe this good also loves colour nearby, so try raspberry lipstick, teal earrings or a citron scarf tucked just so.

The fabric on this jacket is genuinely something. Row after row of horizontal boucle in black, each separated by a looped white thread, and woven through every row a continuous stream of multicoloured silk in blues, teals, pinks, purples, golds, reds, greens so that the overall impression from a distance reads as a rich dark tweed and up close reveals something far more interesting. This looks like fabric someone went to Paris for!

The silhouette is softly structured and relaxed, cut in a slightly longer jacket length with a collarless V-neckline. Four gold rope-twist buttons fasten the front, with three matching buttons at each cuff. Two front pockets sit below the waist, each framed by a decorative rope braid trim along the pocket opening. The back is clean and unlined. Worn over a simple vintage blouse or a silk shirt, trousers or a pencil skirt, this jacket is simply spectacular.

Puritan was acquired by Thornton Hall in the early 1980s and relaunched under Isabel Harris with designer Ches Pritchard. The sequin work on this jacket is not decoration. It is the entire statement. Thousands of silver sequins and faceted crystal-effect beads are hand-sewn across 100% pure silk in a sweeping arabesque pattern, the black background disappearing almost entirely beneath the weight of the embellishment. Up close, the variation is visible: flat black sequins building the dark forms, bright silver-tone beads tracing the scrolling lines between them with a glittering precision that photographs simply cannot do justice to.

The silhouette is relaxed and easy! A straight, unstructured cut with long sleeves and a round neckline finished with a narrow beaded trim, sitting hip-length with a gentle A-line ease from shoulder to hem. The front opens on a concealed zip. The pure silk lining carries the same quality commitment as the shell. This is a piece that understood exactly what it was made for: an entrance.

Silver satin with a high shine, cut generously through the body so the fabric moves rather than lying flat. The collar comes to a clean point and the front buttons up to the collar stand in pale pearl look buttons. Sleeves run full to the wrist and gather into a single button cuff. Across the back a yoke seam releases into a centre inverted pleat, which is where the ease through the shoulders comes from, and the hem curves gently at the sides.

Wear it tucked into a straight skirt as shown here, or leave it loose over something slim for a longer line. The shine does plenty on its own, so you can either keep the rest quiet with mnimalist jewels and footwear or, go nuts with oversized statement pieces that will tone down he shine. A black blazer over the top sharpens the whole thing. If you like a shirt you can move in, this one gives you plenty of room.

A herringbone style scratch print runs diagonally across this dress in charcoal and cream, broken by a mosaic tile print panel that runs the full length of the front bodice and repeats at the cuffs and hem. The neckline ties into a soft bow at the front, and the dress fastens with a concealed zip at the centre back. Shoulders are gently gathered into the yoke, with long sleeves finishing in button cuffs. The soft fabric and chevron print combined with the neckline are serious nods to the typical of dressing through the 1970s, when this kind of textured, graphic print was everywhere.

If you like a dress with soft definition through the shoulders and room to move below, this one will suit you well. Wear it with knee boots and tights for a polished look, or flats and a blazer to elevate a daily office look. Keep accessories vertical accentuating the centrepiece in pale rose or silver.

This El Jay jacket has exactly the sort of understated 1970s tailoring that works beautifully with a modern wardrobe. The soft grey ultrasuede has a slightly mauve cast, with a fine suede-like nap that gives the colour depth. A wide notched collar frames the neckline, while the four-button front and long straight body keep the shape wonderfully unfussy.

There is plenty of good construction to look at once you get closer. Curved seam detailing runs from the shoulder towards the chest, a horizontal back yoke gives structure across the shoulders, and two generous patch pockets sit low at the front. The sleeves are cut straight with broad cuff bands and small side splits, giving the jacket its distinctive relaxed finish.

Try it with burgundy trousers and a pale pink knit, or wear it over a turquoise shirt with dark denim and loafers. For something a little brighter, add a mustard scarf and cherry red bag. This shape works well if you like a jacket that falls straight from the shoulders rather than pulling in at the waist. There is room through the bust, waist and hips for layering, while the collar and shoulder seams give the upper body enough structure to stop the relaxed cut feeling oversized.

There's a certain kind of coat that can either turn getting dressed into an event or, a warm hug. And this one does exactly that. The silver grey pile is thick and plush with generous depth and movement rather than a single flat tone. It falls to a mid-length with slightly dropped shoulders and full sleeves.

Layer it over anything from a simple black dress to jeans and a jumper for instant drama. A collarless neckline keeps things clean at the throat, so it also sits beautifully with a polo neck or a statement scarf tucked in close.

The wool on this Wyndham, New Zealand made skirt is a deep charcoal with a fine diagonal stripe running through in cream, rust and grey, and the skirt is fully pleated from waist to hem, giving it real swing and structure. A single button and zipper at the side fasten the waistband at the front.

The pleating holds its shape well and the stripe catches the eye differently depending on which pleat falls forward, giving the whole piece quiet movement.

Pair it with a soft cream knit and brown leather boots for an easy autumn look, or bring in mustard or a stark white to draw out the fine stripes running through the wool.

A Talbots charcoal grey wool with a soft brushed feel is cool weather perfection. The neckline sits in a deep V front and back, sleeveless through the shoulder, with a fitted bodice that meets a slim self-belt at the natural waist and pockets to boot! Below the belt the skirt releases into soft pleating at the front, falling in a fuller line through the body. A centre back zip closes the dress from nape to waist.

The fit is close through the bodice with the belt marking the waist clearly, while the pleated skirt gives real movement and ease through the hip and hem. A great layering piece it's a dress that works equally well worn for the office or dressed down for an afternoon out.

Pair it with a soft contrast blouse underneath and easy loafers or, blaze in to a weekend with touches of red in a lip and heels.

A two-piece scroll-stopper from UK label, Evans. The fabric is soft and slightly textured, almost lace-like under the light, printed all over with a scattered floral in dusty lavender, peach and soft plum. A ruffled stand collar finishes the neckline on the dress, fastening with a single button at the throat, and the pleating through skirt gives real movement when you walk. The jacket discreet pleating set is set off by the simple soft fabric at the bust to waist. This set will be what you wear to a Sunday lunch and quietly outdress everyone.

Wear the dress alone with the belt cinched and a pair of dove grey boots for something soft and pulled together, or add the jacket over the top for an occasion moment. Try it with amethyst tights and a sage green clutch for a colour story that leans into the print rather than away from it, or ground the whole thing with terracotta accessories if you want warmth against all that lavender. Either way, the collar and the pleats do plenty of the work on their own.

Layers of lavender, violet and grey swirl into a bold abstract floral across this Pine dress, a print with the sweeping, energy that Nordic fashion houses embraced during the 1970s. Cut from a lightweight synthetic knit prized for its drape and colourfastness, the fabric moves easily with the body. Long sleeves taper into buttoned cuffs, while the scoop neckline gathers softly into a contrast piped trim. A defined, elasticated waistband gives way to a full, swinging skirt, finished with a neat centre back zip.

The elasticated waist offers ease through the middle while still marking your shape. Raglan sleeves soften the shoulder line and sit close at the wrist, balancing the fuller skirt below. Wear it loose with boots for daytime ease, or lift it with heels and jewellery for evening. The gathered neckline draws the eye upward and flatters a fuller or more petite bust alike, offering coverage without restriction. A striking, wearable piece of Scandinavian design history.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER: Pine Original Fashion was a Finnish label producing through the 1970s, with a flowing script logo typical of European branding from the era. Its swirling, high contrast florals echo the bold Italian print movement of the decade, filtered through a distinctly Nordic hand. The soft gathering at the neckline reflects the attentive garment making Scandinavian houses were known for at the time.

Jaeger London, Paris, New York. This 100% wool jacket was made in Great Britain at a time when quality meant: cloth with real weight and recovery, tailoring with proper structure, and a colour so saturated it reads almost like a delicious sweet. The purple here is not soft or muted. It is deep, electric, unapologetic. The boucle-textured wool has a subtle surface interest that shifts slightly in different light, and the single-button front with wide notched lapels and patch pockets sits cleanly without any unnecessary detail getting in the way.

The jacket cuts a straight line from the shoulder through to the hip, sitting away from the body rather than following it, which makes it an easy layer over most things. The wide lapel opens the neckline and draws the eye upward, while the structured shoulder gives good definition without bulk. Patch pockets at the hip are deep and actually useful. Wear it over a simple blouse and trousers, or throw it over a silk dress for an evening. It is sure to outlast almost everything else that isn't vintage in your wardrobe.

Across a ground of soft lavender, an extraordinarily dense and fine hand-drawn paisley print unfolds in ink-outlined swirls of pink, ochre, mint and teal. The silk moves with gentle draping from a gathered roll collar, surprise pockets then through a relaxed blouson bodice, falling to a softly gathered midi skirt that shifts with every step. A discreet back keyhole closes with three pearl buttons. Long sleeves finish the picture.

The blouson bodice skims across the chest and upper torso without clinging, making this a strong choice if you prefer fabric to float rather than define above the waist. The elasticated waist draws in gently, establishing proportion without restriction, while the gathered skirt falls away from the hip.

Rich cobalt florals bloom across a soft blush silk-feel fabric in this striking chinoiserie shift dress, finished with sculptural textured buttons and an elegant asymmetric neckline detail. Echoing the glamour of mid-century cocktail dressing, the silhouette feels both polished and playful, with its clean lines allowing the vivid floral print to take centre stage. This charming French blouse carries the easy elegance of mid-century day dressing, rendered in a softly structured wash-and-wear fabric designed for effortless practicality. Its botanical print combines deep navy, ivory and warm ochre tones in an expressive abstract arrangement that feels both artistic and timeless. The open collar neckline and softly tailored short sleeves evoke classic continental styling, while the fluid silhouette moves lightly without losing shape. Finished with tonal navy buttons and gentle gathering through the back yoke, it captures the relaxed sophistication of everyday European wardrobe staples.

The straight cut offers comfortable ease through the bust, waist and hips while maintaining a clean, polished line. The collar frames the neckline beautifully and balances fuller bust proportions, while the lightly structured fabric skims naturally across the middle without clinging. Styled tucked into tailored trousers, layered beneath knitwear, or worn loose over denim, it transitions effortlessly between seasons and occasions. A quietly versatile piece with enduring practicality and charm.

Like midnight reflected across moving water, this dazzling sequin gown was made for dramatic entrances and dance floor moments. Thousands of deep navy sequins sweep across the surface in cascading scalloped patterns that shimmer beautifully with every step. The fluid column silhouette, delicate adjustable straps, and low scooped back create an effortlessly glamorous mood that feels somewhere between old Hollywood eveningwear and late-night disco decadence. Softly weighted by the sequin embroidery yet still fluid in movement, this is the sort of gown that catches candlelight, camera flashes, and curious compliments all evening long.

The relaxed cut skims rather than clings, allowing the sequinned fabric to drape beautifully through the middle and hips while creating long uninterrupted lines through the body. Adjustable straps offer flexibility across the bust and shoulder line, while the sweeping length gives lovely movement when walking. Pair with barely-there heels and a velvet coat for winter events, or let the gown do all the talking with minimal jewellery and slicked-back hair. A wonderfully theatrical piece for celebrations, gallery evenings, balls, black tie events, or anyone who enjoys a little cinematic glamour.

A survivor from the golden era of American air travel, this Delta Signature Series blouse captures the polished optimism of mid-1980s airline. Crafted in a lightweight cotton easy-care blend, the crisp white ground is traced with delicate blue pinstripes and scattered with stylised tulip motifs in cobalt and vivid red. The exaggerated pointed collar, clean front placket, and softly pleated back yoke create a silhouette that feels both practical and distinctly elegant. Originally worn by Delta Air Lines in-flight and ground staff across tropical and summer routes between 1985 and 1987, this piece now stands as wearable aviation history with undeniable conversational appeal.

The softly relaxed cut skims comfortably through the middle while the back pleat allows ease across the shoulders and bust. The structured collar frames the neckline beautifully and balances proportions with a crisp tailored line. Styled tucked into dark tailoring or worn loosely with denim and loafers, it offers an effortless blend of archival utility and playful sophistication. Ideal for collectors of airline memorabilia, fashion historians, or lovers of authentic vintage workplace design.

Rendered in deep ink blue, this authentic vintage jacket carries a print that feels less manufactured and more like it could have been painted by hand. Loose, swirling roses sketched in cream and ivory scatter across the entire surface with the kind of expressive freedom that belonged to mid-century textile design at its most confident. The cotton blend fabric has a subtle woven texture throughout, giving the cloth a gentle dimension that elevates the print beyond the flat and the ordinary.

The silhouette is relaxed and boxy, cut to sit just below the waist with three-quarter length sleeves and a deep V-neckline that opens the front with quiet elegance. Two substantial tortoiseshell-effect buttons fasten the front with warmth and intention. The back is clean and unstructured, the rose print flowing uninterrupted from shoulder to hem. There is no fussiness here. Just good cloth, good cut and a print worth preserving.

This silhouette works beautifully on a range of body shapes, the relaxed boxy cut skimming rather than defining, creating an easy, elongated line through the torso. The deep blue background pairs effortlessly with black tailoring, white shirting or soft ivory separates. Worn buttoned over a white shirt and black skirt (as shown) for a complete look, or layered open over a slip dress for something more relaxed and personal. Either way, it brings quiet distinction to a modern wardrobe without complicating in return.

This Pierre Cardin bomber is that rare mix of sporty and polished, with crisp navy and white pinstripes that read graphic and clean, plus the kind of easy shape that works with almost anything you already own.

The zip-front silhouette is relaxed through the body with a neat collar and cuff finish, so it feels light and wearable. It is the sort of jacket you grab when the weather cannot make up its mind, or when your outfit needs one finishing layer.

For styling, have some fun with colour and print. Try it over a tangerine knit with a teal satin skirt. Or pair it with a lime tee and a violet trouser for a bold colour clash that still looks intentional because the stripe keeps the look anchored. If you want pattern, go for a large-scale floral midi in turquoise and acid yellow, or a leopard skirt with a bright red sneaker.

This cut works well if you like a jacket that blouses over the body rather than clings, and if you prefer a bit of structure at the shoulders without anything stiff. Great for layering!

This is one of those rare finds where the label tells a story before you even do. Made in Hawaii for McInerny Ltd. in Honolulu, it’s a deliciously soft cotton shirt with tropical florals that feel like a postcard sent to you from eras gone by.

The light creamy base keeps it polished, while the blues, violets, olive-golds and inky leaves do all the talking. Finished with a classic collar, short sleeves, a gorgeous chinoiseres style button front, and small side splits at the hem, it’s an easy piece to wear when you want a pop of colour.

Wear it buttoned or leave it open over a teal rib tank with paprika culottes and metallic flats. It also looks brilliant with a satin skirt in orchid or bright teal, or a deep denim that picks up the stunning blooms.

At least 50 years young, this dress arrives with all the confidence of a decade of colour perfection. Periwinkle blue, teal, and olive gold, rendered in a bold oversized floral that covers every inch of a beautifully light cotton blend. It is the kind of print that has you reaching for it again and again. The dress is a straight shift, easy through the body with a gentle A-line sweep toward the hem. The neckline has a neat round finish with a small decorative button placket that adds a quiet detail to an otherwise clean silhouette.

Wear it loose and easy with flat strappy sandals in tan or white and a cane bag for a summer afternoon. Add a belt, as pictured, and the whole silhouette shifts into something tailored and defined. A woven or leather belt in olive or khaki picks up the colours in the print beautifully. For evening, try heeled mules in gold or a strappy silver sandals. If you want to lean into the print, a bold lipstick works perfectly with the periwinkle tones. This is a dress that suits a straighter or fuller figure and works especially well for women who want a relaxed silhouette that still looks polished. The print does the work and the shape gives you room to breathe.

This authentic vintage blouse from Italy is pure wearable art.

Crafted in a fluid drape, the fabric moves beautifully without clinging. The cloud-like abstract print flows across the surface in shades of navy, sky blue, and soft cream, like watercolour on silk. The effect is painterly and sophisticated, the kind of print that elevates simple separates into something special.

The cut is tailored but relaxed. A roll collar sits elegantly at the neckline, while short sleeves with cuffs add polish. The real design detail is at the back: original covered buttons fasten down the centre, a beautiful finish that speaks to quality Italian construction. The blouse is fitted through the bust with a boxy, slightly cropped shape that sits perfectly at the natural waist.

Style it with high-waisted trousers or a pencil skirt for work, or tuck it into wide-leg linen pants for weekend elegance. The abstract print pairs beautifully with navy, cream, or keep it tonal with soft blue. Add simple hoops and you're done.

Italian craftsmanship, timeless design, effortless style. Ready to work.

This French Castille shirtwaister is one of those proper wardrobe doers: crisp, cotton, and beautifully put together, with that easy French confidence built right in. The blue patterned print gives it personality, while the button-through front keeps it classic and practical.

Style it with white sneakers and a straw tote for daytime, or switch to metallic flats and a bold cuff for dinner. For cooler months, add a cropped denim jacket or a soft trench, plus boots for that polished, city-ready finish.

A proper shirtwaister is one of those wardrobe pieces that earns its keep. This bright navy beauty has that classic collared, button-through feel, without the need for a belt while still bringing in the waist whenever you feel like a little shape and structure.

The print is the real charmer, a crisp scatter of ivory and pale blue shapes that reads a bit graphic, a bit playful, and totally wearable. It is the sort of dress that looks equally at home at a daytime event, a work day with a twist, or a weekend lunch where you want to feel effortlessly pulled together.

Style-wise, it is a dream with tan leather and warm gold jewellery, or take it cooler with silver and a pale blue or bring in lilac tones with a scarf. If you want colour, try it with emerald accessories, cherry red lipstick, or a soft lilac knit over the shoulders. For winter, layer with a camel coat, a cropped cream cardigan, or a tailored vintage jacket from your wardrobe staples.

This Panda vintage dress is pure New Zealand sunshine, bottled into cotton. That sky-blue base, the painterly teal blooms, and those lilac paisley curls feel like someone let a 60s postcard run wild.

Style it with a glossy orchid cardigan, a citron slingback, or a tomato-red lip and silver hoops. If you love a pattern clash, try a periwinkle stripe knit over the shoulders, or a gingham bag in acid green for a modern hit of fun.

This is the kind of authentic vintage evening gown that looks like it belongs under low lights and a champagne soundtrack. A deep teal, almost peacock green, with a dark floral brocade texture that catches the light in the most elegant, grown up way. It reads rich and refined from afar, then up close you get that beautiful woven patterning that modern fabrics rarely bother with.

The bodice has a wrap effect with soft pleating through the front, creating shape without stiffness. The neckline sits in a flattering sweetheart V that frames the collarbone beautifully, and the short sleeves give coverage while keeping the look light and balanced. From the waist, the skirt falls into a long, sweeping line that skims the body rather than clinging, so you get drama and length without feeling restricted.

Fit wise, this silhouette is pure confidence. The wrap style bodice draws the eye to the waist and gives the bust a clean, supported line, while the long skirt smooths and elongates through the hips and legs. Styling is easy and high impact. Add a metallic heel and a simple clutch for a formal evening. Go for velvet flats and statement earrings for gallery openings, weddings, and winter events. If you want a more defined waist, add a slim belt in black or antique gold or silver and let the brocade texture do the talking.

Wearable art in the truest sense. This authentic vintage silk robe is a study in delicate beauty.

Crafted in 100% silk with a luminous drape, the fabric moves like water. The pale green base provides a canvas for printed imagery: lotus flowers bloom in soft pink and teal, their petals rendered with watercolour subtlety, while a mandarin duck glides below among floating leaves. The artistry is exquisite, each detail capturing the elegance of traditional Asian motifs.

The kimono-style cut features wide, flowing sleeves and a wrap-front design that ties with a self-belt. This is a robe that transcends function, equally at home as elegant loungewear, layered over simple slip dresses for evening, or worn as a statement piece with tailored separates.

The printed design carries symbolism: lotus flowers represent purity and enlightenment, while mandarin ducks symbolise love and fidelity in Asian culture. This is more than a garment, it's a narrative told in silk.

Pair it with simple neutrals to let the artwork speak, or wear it as luxurious at-home elegance. This is the kind of piece that becomes an heirloom.

This dress by New Zealand label Adam Marr captures the playful spirit of late 1960s design. Crafted from crimplene, the era's signature 'wonder fabric', it offers incredible durability and structure. The textile features a fresh teardrop motif in lime green and sky blue against a neutral knit base.

The silhouette is practical and polished. It features a smart collar, button-down front, and charming patch pockets that add utility without bulk. The short sleeves are finished with a subtle notch detail that speaks to thoughtful tailoring.

This cut is fantastic for structure. The slightly heavier weight of the knit holds its shape to skim the body rather than cling, smoothing the line from shoulder to hem. The matching belt allows you to define the waist as much or as little as you like.

Style it with white loafers for a mod-inspired day look or add knee-high boots for a transitional outfit. This is low-maintenance vintage with high-impact charm. It is a piece of local history ready for a new chapter.

There is an undeniable magnetism to lurex. It captures the light and the imagination without ever feeling excessive. This authentic vintage knit features a deep emerald hue shot through with metallic thread for a finish that is festive yet sophisticated.

The silhouette is effortlessly relaxed. A chic mock neckline frames the face, while the dropped shoulders and boxy cut provide a comfortable drape that does not cling. It is the perfect balance of structure and slouch.

This shape works wonderfully to add texture to your upper half. It skims the torso to offer ease of movement while the shimmer draws the eye upwards. It is an ideal piece if you want to highlight your face and shoulders.

Style it tucked into high-waisted velvet trousers for evening elegance or wear it loose over denim for a textured daytime look. Add blinging acccessories to bring in a little drama. This is the kind of piece that makes an outfit feel instantly intentional. A deep emerald green, lightly lustrous jacket with a traditional mandarin collar and classic knotted frog closures, finished with embroidered chrysanthemum blooms scattered like fireworks across a night garden.

The structure is wonderfully wearable. It has a clean, straight silhouette with enough ease through the body to layer over a fine knit or a crisp shirt. The padded quilting gives you that satisfying feel of warmth without being too bulky, and the black reversible interior means you can flip the mood entirely when you want something more understated.

The embroidery is the star. White, gold, and coppery tones pop against the green satin-like surface, and the texture play between smooth sheen and quilted stitching is pure vintage craftsmanship. It looks elevated with tailored trousers and loafers, and equally cool with denim and a simple tee.

This is a statement jacket that still behaves like a practical one. It is comfort, detail, and story in one wearable layer.

If your wardrobe loves a little colour with good manners, this one is calling your name. This Italian blouse comes in a vivid kelly green with a smooth, satin-like finish that catches the light beautifully. The shape is softly easy through the body with short sleeves, so it feels polished without feeling fussy. The rounded neckline is finished with a neat trim and a sweet front tie, while the centre front features a pleated and ruffled placket that gives instant interest and a flattering vertical line.

Around the back, it fastens with a button-through closure using small, light-coloured buttons, which keeps the front clean and lets the detailing do the talking. The overall design nods to late 1960s into 1970s Italian boutique styling, where a blouse could be both practical and a little bit showy in the best way.

Style it tucked into a high-waisted pencil skirt for confident, body-celebrating shape, or wear it with tailored trousers and a simple heel for effortless 'I have taste' energy. Add a gold hoop or a crisp red lip if you feel like turning the dial up.
