Shipping Policy

Update May 1st, 2020: We will offer FREE SHIPPING within New Zealand while operating under Level 3 Covid-19 Restrictions.

Orders placed will be dispatched at the government change to Level 3. Please note orders are subject to delay if we have any changes to our pandemic alert levels and are unable to process within this period. This will hinder dispatching items to you. Should this occur, we will contact you directly via email to advise change. Once your order has been dispatched, please allow an additional 3-7 business days until you receive your order in the event courier services are experiencing delays during this time. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, these uncertain times may inevitably create situations outside of our control.

Delivery Locations

Currently we only deliver within New Zealand.

If you are located outside of New Zealand, please keep ‘your eyes peeled’ for any changes to this situation as we grow!

Delivery Fees

All deliveries within New Zealand are charged at a flat rate of $10, or FREE for three or more items (total weight cannot exceed 10kgs).

Please note, any parcel over 10kgs may incur additional shipping fees*.

Delivery Times

We deliver throughout New Zealand using Go Sweet Spot Courier Service, to ensure your purchase arrives safely. Once dispatched, orders will be delivered within 2-5 business days, depending on your location.

Delivery Address

Please note PAINTED BIRD does not deliver to PO Box or Private Boxes, these orders may be subject to cancellation.

If the address provided is unattended, an attempted delivery card will be left and your parcel will be redirected to the nearest Post Office. All parcels require a signature upon delivery, PAINTED BIRD does not offer ‘Authority to Leave’. 

Tracking your Order

When we dispatch your shipment, you'll receive a copy of the tracking number via email, so you can view the progress of your parcel, and will provide you recourse should there be any issue. We are unable to take responsibility for undelivered items once they are in the hands of the courier company and leave our possession.

Lost or Delayed Deliveries

There are times when products may take a little longer to arrive than expected; for example, weekends and public holidays. If the item/s go missing entirely or do not arrive within the suggested time frames, we will do our best to assist you to rectify the situation. We ask that you contact the courier company directly (using the tracking number provided) and also notify us as quickly as possible via our email address.

In the scenario that an order from Painted Bird to the customer is not delivered due to fault of the courier company, it is not the responsibility of Painted Bird to replace the item with a similar piece, refund the customer in full, offer store credit or issue a Gift Card for the full amount.
